The Specials Dashboard is a community-driven directory of restaurant specials. Every restaurant, every special, and every star rating or review on this site was submitted by another user, not by us. We provide the platform and the voting/reporting system that helps keep listings reasonably current, but we do not independently confirm that any special exists, is priced as described, or is still being offered.
We act purely as a medium for people to share and rate information, and to voice an opinion about a special they've seen. Specials can change, end, or be described incorrectly by whoever submitted them, sometimes without anyone reporting it before you see it. We take no responsibility for a special not being honoured, being priced differently in person, being unavailable, or being wrong in any other way. Do your own research and confirm directly with the restaurant before relying on anything you read here. Using this site means you accept that any decision you make based on it (visiting a restaurant, expecting a specific price or menu item, etc.) is entirely your own responsibility.
Creating an account requires an email address and a password. Your email is never shown publicly, to other users, or anywhere on the site, it's only used for account login and, where relevant, contacting you about your own account. Every account gets an anonymous, randomly generated (or self-chosen) username, and that's what other users see, never your email.
We also store what you'd expect from using the site: the specials and restaurants you submit, the votes, flags, and reviews you cast, and the specials you save. This is what lets the community voting, flagging, and reputation system work.
Live specials can be reported by other users as incorrect or as not existing. Reports that are upheld can result in a special being removed, and accounts found to be repeatedly submitting fake listings or falsely trying to remove real ones may be temporarily banned from contributing (voting, submitting, flagging, or reviewing) for a period of time, with longer bans for repeat issues. Browsing the site never requires an account and is never restricted.
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember things like your selected city and filters. We don't use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
You can request that your account and associated data be deleted by contacting us. Since this is a small, independently run community project, there isn't a self-service delete button yet, we'll action requests manually.
